Sokyo is pleased to announce the two-person exhibition, “SHOW ME” [TUCHIKURE] with “LOOP FEELING” by Kazuhito Kawai and Yoichi Umetsu. This exhibition was realized by Kawai's invitation to Umetsu and will feature 10 new works by Kawai, as well as Umetsu's first attempt with “ceramic art” and related drawings. Kawai, who saw Umetsu's noisy accumulated dotted paintings at Art Basel HK in 2018, was said to have been attracted by his boyish playfulness and the enigmatic nature of his paintings, which differed from Georges Seurat's pointillism.
